Having been selected to participate in the implementation of the MEXT “Program to Supporting Research Activities of Female Researchers (Organizations)”, part of the Grant Program for Funds for the Development of Human Resources in Science and Technology in FY2014, Meiji University established the Center for Gender Equality and Diversity, Support Office with the aim of further improvement in the area of gender equality.
To increase the number of female researchers and promote gender equality, this project speeds up the cultivation of young female researchers (particularly in the sciences), and establishes and implies support systems to support for the globalization of business to provide support for female researchers and satisfy both their research and their work-life balance.

In addition, coordination and networking in supportive activities contribute to the development and invigoration of local communities with a high level of gender equality.
